With one browser your website might look great and in another it may completely look like garbage. If you are going to be using scripts like javascript, asp, perl, php or any other scripting languages you have to take into consideration that a percentage of online users have javascript blocked. Another problem comes in when selecting a web host, they offer linux and windows hosting, each one only supporting certain scripting languages. Make sure that the web hosting package you are going to choose supports the scripts your site has. These days content is king, search engines love content and if you have good unique quality content the search engines will love your site and give you more attention. When developing your website make sure that your content has a good amount of keywords and phrases. Most search engines place the most value on the first 100-150 words of your content and so placing a good amount of keywords and phrases in this area will help you with the search engines as well. |
