PPP advertising – Could it be the next big thing?

There is a new form of advertising coming soon to the internet. There are a couple of beta sites testing out the new Pay per play advertising methods right now as we speak. PPP advertising or Pay per play advertising is quickly building up popularity and is expected to take over the internet just like Pay per click did.

So what is PPP advertising and how does it work?

Pay per play advertising is similar to Adsense in that you get a small javascript block of code that you put on you website. This code will generate a small 5 second advertisement that your visitors will hear upon entering your website or every page that you have this script on. Each and every time the ad plays you get paid. It’s that easy; there is no clicking, no buying all that has to happen is the ad to play for 5 seconds and you get paid.

The reason why this form of advertising is expected to take off, is because these advertisements will be relevant to your website’s content. Extensive research has shown that a 5 second ad will give the customer just enough to spark interest, and yet will not annoy the customer; causing him/her to leave your website.

It is expected that a lot of the bigger companies that are advertising on the radio and television will move to this form of advertising on the internet because over the last decade the effectiveness of television and radio commercials have been on a steady decline.

The reason for such a decline is that people have radios on the internet, they have ipod's, and mp3 players so the regular radios are not listened to nearly as much as they once were. With the internet you are able to get a lot of shows, and movies right on your computer so commercials on radio and television are simply becoming obsolete.

So how much do you get paid?

One of the leading pay per play networks on the internet right now are offering 25% of what the profits made from your ads. An additional 5% for everybody you referred to the network and an additional 5% for every person they refer. This may not work out to much right now at the time of this writing but you can bet that when this form of advertising takes off some of us will be making hundreds to thousands of dollars a day.
