Use This Simple Underused Promotional Method to Spike Your Web Site Traffic

Traffic is crucial to your websites success, there is no and ifs or buts about it. It does not matter if whether you're trying to sell, market, promote or whatever if you have no traffic than you will not make any money, and you will certainly not be able to promote anything.

If you go online and read start doing research you will see all kinds of articles that give great advice on how to drive traffic to you website.

Some of these methods would be to submit your website to search engines and directories, post on relevant forums and message boards, exchange links with other websites like yours, create an email newsletter, or write articles and submit them to article syndication sites.

All of these methods are great for getting a ton of traffic to your website, given that it won't happen over night but give it time and visitors will start pouring in.

Webmasters and website owners are constantly spending all kinds of money on online advertising and promoting that they forget that they live in a community, and near or in a big city with tons of potential visitors and customers.

Promoting offline is just as important as online, because the way a website becomes viral is through word of mouth. A very simple way to advertise to your community and the surrounding areas is to take out a small ad in the local newspapers.

This may be a little expensive at first but you have to look at it as an investment to the future success of your online business.

Another simple way to advertise your website that is actually very cheap yet very effective, is to make your website some business cards, simply put a blurb about what your website does, or offers and then put your website and email address on it.

Take these business cards to the malls, shopping centers, banks, post offices, etc and simply put them up on bulletin boards, or street posts, you can even put them under peoples wiper blades or on their windows etc.
