Weight Loss Techniques That Actually Kill Your Chances of Losing Weight

There are a lot of methods and techniques out there today used by millions to try to lose all those unwanted pounds but there are common methods and techniques out there that actually kill your chances of ever burning off your fat and losing the weight you so desire to lose.

The first method or technique that is fairly common is not
is eating little to no food (fasting). The thought process behind this method is that if I eat little or no food a day I will burn more calories and therefore lose weight faster.

This sounds logical but if you take a closer look at how the body operates and how it utilizes the food you eat you will notice that this method actually does the opposite.

Your body basically does what it needs to in order to survive, so when you starve yourself, or eat very little day in and day out, your body gets a little scared and goes into survival mode.

In survival mode your body uses the bare minimum amount of food you consume to run the vital organs and then stores the rest as fat so that it has something to feed off of later.

Instead of starving yourself it is better to have 6 smaller healthy meals a day, so that your body has a constant fuel source and therefore has to work harder and longer to digest your food; burning more calories.

The second method is the use of laxative whether it be in powder, liquid or pill form. The thinking behind this method of losing weight is that the food will digested at a quicker rate and get used by the body and then leave the body more quickly so that your body can then concentrate on burning your extra fat.

The reality of it is that 95% of the weight lost with the laxative technique is water. As soon as you stop taking your laxatives you will gain all that weight back.

There are also some pretty dangerous side effects of this method as well. These can include extreme dehydration, permanent damage to your colon, and damage to your digestive track, which leads to less absorption of minerals and vitamins from foods. This is a very dangerous method that should never be tried.

The last method is actually a lot of different types of the same method. Let me explain hundreds of diets out there all promise quick and easy weight loss, boasting a possible loss of 20 lbs in a week, this is simply to much weight too fast.

Again most of this weight is going to be water weight, giving you the impression that you just lost 20 lbs of fat. The downside to these types of diets is that as soon as you go off of these diets your weight will sky rocket right back up to where it started if not going past that.

The easiest solution is to stick to diets that promote healthy eating, and a moderate exercise program, because in the end its not a diet that is going to give you long lasting weight loss results, rather it will be taking that healthy diet and changing your lifestyle to take on the healthy habits of that diet.
